In fencing, two competitors face each other, a weapon in hand, and must touch their opponent with their weapon on a given area. Each weapon has its specificities:

  • The sword allows you to touch your opponent with all parts of the blade (tip, sharp and back).
  • The valid surface includes the upper body from the waist, including the arms and head.
  • The sword and foil can only score points with the tip, but on the whole body (including the mask and shoes) for the sword, and only on the trunk (chest, shoulders and neck) for the foil.

The fencer who reaches fifteen points, or who has the most at the end of the regulation time wins the fight. By team, the first team with 45 points, or who has the most at the end of the regulation time, wins.

Fencing, with its tactical duels and specific rules promises captivating clashes. Every match is a spectacle of strategy and precision. For those attending these events, reserving a parking space via Q-Park can make the experience more enjoyable, eliminating the hassle of parking near competition venues.
